Archaeological Site of Delphi
UNESCO World Heritage Site
The pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke, was the site of the omphalos, the 'navel of the world'. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape and charged with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century B.C. was indeed the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world.

Traditional Greece - little villages

A majority of the people in the villages are old. Most of the young leave after highschool to work or study in cities or overseas.  Many of the old people have lived in America or Australia and come back to their ancestral home to retire. Some of the old people never left and continue to work the fields and orchards their parents and grandparents worked.

 and the work never ends...

Cap d'Agde is a seaside resort on France's Mediterranean coast.
It is now one of the largest leisure ports on the French Mediterranean.

Cap d'Agde has a large family-style naturist resort. The Village Naturiste is a large fenced-off part at the north-eastern edge of Cap d'Agde, although it is accessible along the public beach from the east. It is a self-contained town (sometimes referred to as the "Naked City"), where nudity is legal and common in the whole resort.

Agios Nikolaos

Different to all other towns in Crete, Agios Nikolaos manages to mix - upon the three hills which support its girth - an arty, leisurely, sleepy and yet also bustling place. Built partly atop ancient remains of bygone residents' homes. Also known as Agios Nik or Ag Nik.

The name Agios Nikolaos means Saint Nicholas.  Agios Nikolaos or Ayios Nikolaos
is a common place name in Greece and Cyprus, since Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors and of all of Greece.

My short (about one hour) visit to Agios Nik.

Chania Streets

Walking on the streets and alleys of the old town of Chania you can admire the buildings decorated with colorful flowers and plants or relax on a cosy cafe. Many of these buildings are homes, others house shops, stores, bars, cafes and restaurants. Several, mostly Venetian mansions, have been converted into hotels, while other buildings have been converted into museums and venues that host cultural exhibitions.

And of course Grandmas :)
  My favorite city!
