As the days grew longer the hens started to eggs again. Fresh egs marked the beginning of spring at the crof house. Boiled eggd were part of the Easter feast along with gold colored pancakes. Homegrown eggs in granma's basket in Western Finland.

A Bureau of Palace Construction was set up to create the complex, consisting of a number of official and residential buildings set in a garden that was cleverly adapted to the uneven topography of the 58-ha site.
