hese experimental explosions on the atoll of Bikini inspired Dali to paint the Three Sphinxes of Bikini. The painting consisted of one head, one tree, and one nuclear mushroom. The head might represent humanity, while the tree represents nature and mushroom cloud represents destruction.

Salvador  Dalí (1904 –  1989), was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. The Persistence of Memory (1931) is one of his most recognizable works. This painting made Dali world famous at 28.

I must say I'm not a huge fan of Dali myself, but definitely his works are most interesting  with lots of details.
