Albert and Alfons

Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt (21 July 1854 – 18 August 1905) was a Finnish painter.  He lived in the Grand Duchy of Finland and made Finnish culture visible abroad, before Finland gained full independence.

Alphonse Mucha 

Alfons Maria Mucha (1860 – 1939) known internationally as Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech painter, illustrator, and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, best known for his distinctly stylized and decorative theatrical posters, particularly those of Sarah Bernhardt. He produced illustrations, advertisements, decorative panels, as well as designs, which became among the best-known images of the period.

Ferdinand von Wright (1822-1906)

Ferdinand von Wright was a Finnish-Swedish painter. He is best known for his landscapes and animal paintings, especially his detailed depictions of birds, but he also created still-lifes and portraits.

Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt was a Finnish painter. In 1882 Albert Edelfelt built a small studio in Haikko (Porvoo). It was here that he painted many of his most important works.

Albert Edelfelt (1854-1905) was one of the greatest Finnish painters. His works are really outstanding, one of my favorites painters.

Burnt village Albert Edelfelt's historical painting from 1879. It depicts the imaginary vision of the Cudgel War (1596/97 ). The Finnish peasant family fled from their home village burned by the army.

Albert Edelfelt

 Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt (21 July 1854 – 18 August 1905) was a Finnish painter.

He was one of the first Finnish artists to achieve international fame. He enjoyed considerable success in Paris and was one of the founders of the Realist art movement in Finland.
