Bright Colors and Joan Miró

Many years ago before my "postcrossing-time"  I bought this little PostcardBook, a set of  Joan Miro's postcards and there are still some of them left in my art collection.

The work of Joan Miró is immediately identifiable by his unique style, bright colours and signature shapes. He was at the forefront of Spanish modern art and internationally acclaimed artist.

Joan Miró i Ferrà (1893 Barcelona – 1983 Palma de Mallorca) oli katalonialainen taidemaalari, kuvanveistäjä ja keraamikko. Mirón töitä on kuvattu surrealistisiksi, lapsenomaisiksi, katalonialaista kansallisylpeyttä ilmentäviksi ja alitajuntaa peilaaviksi.

This is my entry to Maria's  "Postcards for The Weekend" on her "Connections to the World-blog" and the theme for this week is Bright colors.
